A.C. Huffman, age 89, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019 at his residence. Born May 29, 1929 in Garrard, he was a son of the late Andrew Jackson & Geneva Brown Huffman. A.C. had been in law enforcement for many years and was the Chief of Police for the City of Lancaster until his retirement in 1991. He was also a Army veteran and member of Hyattsville Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Lee Huffman, his son, Randy Huffman and a sister, Elsie Coffey. His survivors include a daughter, Debbie (Tim) Nunemaker of Lancaster, two sons, Larry (Jenny) Huffman of Berea and Greg (Faye) Huffman of Lancaster, daughter in law, Karen Huffman of Lancaster, a brother, Tommy Huffman of Danville, and a sister, Beulah (Russell) Sebastian of Lancaster. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren , Brian, Joshua, Aaron & Miranda Huffman, Ryan & Kevin Miller, Rachel Marshall, James Robert Pruitt, Jonathon & Giles Shell and Jennifer Butner as well as 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Gary Durham. Burial with military honors will take place at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
