Alan Harris, 59 passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at his residence in Lancaster. Born November 19, 1960 in Estill County, he was the son of the late Harlow Harris and Opal Fox Harris of Estill County. He was preceded in death by his father, Harlow Harris, his brother, Kenneth Wayne Harris and his sister, Virginia Lee Hoaglin Harris. He worked for Barlow homes framing houses for over 20 years until he was disabled in a motor cycle crash. He enjoyed his TV Shows and listening to music especially John Prine. The song "Sam Stone" is how he got his nickname Uncle Sam. He was a fun loving man who enjoyed every second of life and always had a joke in his mind to tell you. He is survived by his mother Opal Fox Harris, a niece and a nephew and several Aunts and Uncle's. Along with the families wishes, cremation services have been honored.
