Amanda Estes Hicks, 40, of Lancaster, passed away Friday August 6, 2021 in Lexington at UK Bluegrass Hospice. Born May 4, 1981 in Richmond, Amanda was a daughter of Darrell & Teresa Preston Estes of Lancaster. She had been an Administrator and office manager for Central Kentucky Medical and also worked at several medical institutions and facilities including Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center and Respite. She was a member of Bethel Christian Church
Amanda's survivors other than her parents, include her husband, Scott Hicks, a son, Zane McClay Hicks , of Lancaster, two sisters, Teri (Michael) Wentworth of Paducah, Megan (Johnny Wooldridge) Estes of Danville, father and mother in law, Scotty & Ellie Hicks of Lexington, and a brother in law, Michael Hicks, of Lexington. She also leaves six nieces and nephews, Anthony & Allison Hicks, JonMichael (Ashton) Wentworth & Karlie Wentworth, Mason & Dudley Hacker III, as well as a great nephew, Desmond Hicks.
Funeral services for Amanda will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Dennis Pasley with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be JonMichael & Karlie Wentworth, Dudley & Mason Hacker, Tommy Estes & Ryan Preston. Honorary bearers will be Scotty & Ellie Hicks, Cindy Simpson, Omie Farthing, David Richards, Roger Hall, Stasi Smith, Anthony Hicks & Krystal Floyd. Visitation will be from 4—8 PM Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may go to Bluegrass Care Navigators.
