Obituary

Ann Elizabeth Snyder West, 79, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, October 19, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born Sunday, September 28, 1941 in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late John Charles "J.C." & Effie J. Tuttle Snyder. Ann was a homemaker and former sales clerk at The Apparel Shop & Napier Brothers in Lancaster, she was a member of Bethel Christian Church. She was first runner up in the Garrard County Farm Bureau Pageant in 1957, and in August 1957, she had a poem published by The American Poetry Society called "Twilight". Ann enjoyed raising flowers, especially day lilies, and spending time with her granddaughter, Casey Elizabeth Morgan. Her survivors include her husband, Tommy West, of Lancaster, son; Ricky W. Sparks, of Lancaster, daughter; Tommi Michele West Morgan, of Lancaster, granddaughter; Casey Elizabeth Morgan, of Lancaster, brother; Johnny Snyder, of Lancaster. Funeral services will be at held 3:30 PM Friday, October 23, 2020 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Estes officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include; Lonnie Napier, Steve Himes, Curt Carrier, Jerry Carrier, David Morgan & Lonnie Matlock. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. Family request that all attending to wear a facial covering and to maintain social distancing.
