Barbara Joe "B.J" Yeakey, 75, of Garrard County, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at her home in Lancaster. Born November 6, 1941 in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Harold Clark and Lucille White Long. She was employed Clarks Restaurant and a retired Dispatch Operator for Garrard County and a member of Lancaster Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Clay Clark, a sister, Nancy DeJager, step daughter, Kemitha Yeakey and step parents, Charles Long and Shirley Clark. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Jimmy Yeakey of Garrard County, two sons, Jerry (Katherine) Yeakey of Lancaster, Jeff Yeakey of Lancaster, and one daughter Jennifer Yeakey of Lancaster, one half-brother, Dan Clark, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, one grandchild, Christy (Fieldon )Hensley, and two great grandchildren, Charlie and Avery Hensley. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 2, 2017 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Daryl Hodge, with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clyde Merida, Brad Murphy, Fieldon Hensley, Ronald Lamb, Freddie Vonlinger, and Steven Lane. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Wardrip, and Mark Cool.
