Barbara Lois Elam Starnes, 86, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Christian Care Center in Lancaster. Born September 24, 1928 in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse A. & Delia Bell McQuerry Elam. Barbara was a retired seamstress and a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, and a sister, Gladys Eloise Bourne. Survivors include three brothers, J.W. "Buddy" Elam & Donnie Elam, both of Stanford, Bill Elam of Hustonville, three sisters, Cloyd Naylor & Helen Starnes of Lancaster, Lucy Belle Rose of Goodlettsville, Tn., and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be 1:30 PM Tuesday April 7, 2015 at Ramsey Funeral Home by Rev. Brad King & Rev. Charlie Lynn, with burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:30-1:30 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Wayne Dailey, Jesse Bourne, Jimmy Arnold, Kenny, Paul & Kendall Anderson, Harold Douglas Rhodus & Charles Starnes.
