Belva Rea Hensley, 90, of Paint Lick, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at her home. Born September 19, 1928 in Wallaceton, she was a daughter of the late George Wesley & Nannie Ogg Calico. Mrs. Hensley was a restaurant owner, service station owner and the owner of Paint Lick Restaurant and Grocery. An active member of the Paint Lick community, she was also a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church where she was the church organist, a Member of the Adult Sunday School Class at Mt. Tabor, Paint Lick Homemakers Club & the Garrard County Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Hensley, three brothers, George "June" Calico, A.O. Calico, & James Donald Calico, as well as two sisters in law, Mildred Calico & Barbara Jean Calico. She is survived by three daughters, Nancy (Bill) Melton of Berea, Dora Sue (James) Davis of Lancaster, Mildred Moore of Richmond, two sons, Billy (Melissa) Hensley of Paint Lick, Jerry ( Ann) Moore of Melbourne, Florida , and sister in law, Carolyn Calico of Cynthiana. She also has thirteen grandchildren , Annie Rymer, Carrie Cornett, Randall Stathers, Jamie Morton, Mariah Rea Moore, Matthew Wesley Moore, Joey Moore, Rachel McFarland, Amanda Brock, Travis Hensley, Christian Wynn & Logan Wynn and Zachary Hensley and 13 great grandchildren, Cameron Rymer, Lilly Rymer, Maddy Cornett, Gabrielle Brock, Braydon Hensley, Emma Hensley, Aiden Stathers, Emily & Levi Morton, Yesenia Davis, Dalton Slone, Carl Jerry and Anthony Collins as well as two special caregivers, Hannah Hisle & Sandy Bryant. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Mt. Tabor Church in Paint Lick by Rev. Joe Tuttle. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday, June 28th at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home and from 1:00 PM until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will take place in Paint Lick Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew & Joey Moore, Travis & Zachary Hensley, Christian & Logan Wynn, Randall Stathers & Shawn Rymer.
