Obituary

Bennie F. Pennington, 80, formerly of Lexington St. in Lancaster, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 in Dayton, Ohio. Born August 30, 1934 in Clay County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Arthur & Betty Ball Pennington. Bennie had spent most of his life as a farmer and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, June Toomey Pennington & Hester Pennington. His survivors include three daughters, Kay (Roger) Bryant of Dayton, Ohio, Georgia (Kenny) Harris of Niota, Tennessee, Virginia Carol (Tim Hensley) of Madison County, two sons, Bennie Lee (the late Debbie) Pennington and Danny (Peggy) Pennington, both of Garrard County, three sisters, Bernice Chambers of Pinellas Park, Florida, Edith Bolton and Patricia McCane both of Lancaster, six grandchildren, Brian Alan & Adam Daniel Pennington, Keekee Shemiah, Michael & David Bryant & Ashley McClary, and great grandchildren, Isabella Shemiah, Caleab Hall & Abigail Pope McClary, & Alina June Pennington . Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, September 29, 2014 at Ramsey Funeral Home with burial following in the Wallaceton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian & Adam Pennington, Michael , Roger & David Bryant, Tim Hensley & Ken Harris. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Monday at the funeral home.
