Bill Dyehouse, 82, of Crab Orchard, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024 in Danville. Born November 1, 1941, in Boyle County, he was a son of the late William L. & Myrtle Trent Dyehouse. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmie Dyehouse.

During his lifetime, Bill worked a multitude of different jobs, primarily, he was a retired employee of Southern States, where he worked  as a petroleum supervisor,  and a retired bus driver for the Lincoln County School System. Bill always strived for ways to benefit his community of Crab Orchard as well. He served 24 years as a County Magistrate, had been the former Mayor of Crab Orchard, former owner of Dyehouse Trophies and Fitness Center, ran the Crab Orchard Ballpark for many years, was a Basketball, Baseball, Football, & Girls Softball Coach. Above all, he was a devout member of Crab Orchard Baptist Church, where he had also served as Deacon since 1982. His greatest accomplishment was when he gave his life to the Lord and was saved on Nov. 19, 1967.

His survivors include his wife, Linda Naylor Dyehouse, three sons, Franklin Leo (Kim) Dyehouse of Stanford, Jimmy Dale (Judith) Dyehouse of Somerset & Terry (Leann) Dyehouse of Crab Orchard, his furry companion who Bill would probably prefer being mentioned before his sons "Eddie",  8 grandchildren, Jake Dyehouse, Kate Dyehouse, Chyna Dyehouse , Ollie Dyehouse, Storm Dyehouse, Nathan Steinert, Zavian Smith, Amelia Smith, and 5 great grandchildren,  Zayden Dyehouse, Bowie Dyehouse, Harper Dyehouse,  Lochlan Steinart, Adeline Steinert.

Funeral services for Bill will be 1:00 PM Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Crab Orchard Baptist Church by Rev. T.J. Godbey. Visitation will take place from 5:00—9:00 PM Wednesday August 21, 2024 at the church. Burial will take place in Crab Orchard Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, as well as Chris Godbey, Tommy Owsley, Charles Day & Mack Dunn, with the Deacons and all his church family serving as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, condolences may go to the Crab Orchard Baptist Church Mission Fund.
