Bob Wardrip, 87 of Lancaster, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 at his home. Born Monday, September 15, 1930 in Middleburg, Kentucky, he was a son of the late W.W. & Anna Wesley Wardrip. Bob was a farmer, the former owner & operator of Buena Vista Grocery, & ran Southern State Coop until the late 1970's. He was of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan (Lonnie) Gambrel; three brothers, Aubrey Wardrip, Willis Wardrip, & Jim Wardrip; sisters, Virginia Reed, & Phyllis Patterson, & one granddaughter, Bobbi Nicole Wardrip. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Wardrip; sons; Ronald Wardrip of Lancaster, Jeff (Patricia) Carey of Lancaster, & Greg (Wendy) Carey of Frankfort; sister, Sarah Evelyn (Lewis) Brown, of Danville; grandchildren, Leanna (Tim) Miller, Brandi Bramblett, Jennifer Caldwell, Sarah Senn, & Katie Carey, & great-grandchildren, Spencer Isaacs, Rowan Wardrip, Olivia Wardrip, Emily Miller, & Riley Miller. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 19, 2018 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home and burial following in Lancaster cemetery.
