Obituary

Bonnie Ann Lee Ellis, 70, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at her home surrounded by loved ones. Born on September 20, 1955, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Homer & Lorien Ray Lee. Bonnie was a former employee at American Greetings for 43 years, loved to work on the farm, and was a devout member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. She enjoyed collecting antiques and raising her cattle and golden retrievers, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Arber J. Lee.

Survivors includes her husband of 52 years, Randy Dale Ellis of Lancaster; son, Charles Randall (Christy) Ellis of Lancaster; daughter, Miranda LeeAnn (David) Goodlett of Harrodsburg; sister-in-law, Kathy Lee of Lancaster; grandchildren, Caden Blaze Harrison, Madelyn LeeAnn Goodlett, Katelyn Elizabeth Goodlett, David Logan Goodlett, and Charles Landon Goodlett.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, and from 2:00 PM until funeral service time at 4:00 PM on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. Bro. Jerry Browning & Bro. Aaron Meece will officiate services, and burial will follow at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jimmy Lee, Doug Basham, Kevin Ellis, Steven Cummins, Blake Lee, and Scott Barnes. Honorary pallbearers include Bessie Hamm, Cathy Tyler, Rubin Harris, Donna Hamilton, Charlotte Gray, Debbie Baker, and Lloyd & Linda Sebastian.
