Brent McCord, 51 of Lancaster resident for the past 12 years passed away Monday, June 30. 2014 at UK Hospital in Lexington. He was born July 4, 1962 in Harrodsburg. Brent loved cooking, fishing and golf and was a talented artist and writer. For two years he was a political cartoonish for the Springfield Sun newspaper and had two articles published in the Lexington Herald Leader. He was a lifelong member of the Christian Church and an avid Bible student. He is survived by his parents, Val and Billie McCord of Lancaster; a brother, Mark McCord Luisanne, Switzerland; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Ramsey Funeral Home. His brother Mark McCord, a pastor in Switzerland will be officiating. There will be a brief visitation time before the service from 12:30- 2pm for those wishing to come.
