Carole Hamilton Fitzpatrick, age 76, of the Buena Vista area of Garrard County, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018, in Gainesville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joel and Gertie (Gaston) Hamilton, a grandson, Brandon Kohler, and her daughter-in-law, Kelly Fitzpatrick. She is survived by her husband, Bill Fitzpatrick, her son, Mark Fitzpatrick of Cleveland, Georgia, her daughter, Melissa (Kristopher) Kohler of Winder, Georgia, two grandsons, Jonathan (Amber) and Peyton Kohler, three great-grandchildren, Brently Kohler, Madisyn Kohler, and Andrew Bowling, Jr., and her sister, Gayle Comley of Gainesville, Georgia. Carole was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on September 26, 1941. She attended Burgin School, Lafayette High School, and graduated from Franklin County High School. She attended the University of Kentucky. Carole lived many years in Buford, Georgia, before returning to Kentucky where she retired from Kentucky State Government and was a member of Bryantsville United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home in Lancaster, Kentucky, with burial following in the Lancaster Cemetery.
