Carolyn Johnson Baker, 67, of Paint Lick, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Saturday, December 24, 1949 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Lee & Jenny Pearl Poynter Johnson. She was a homemaker, & was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brother; John Johnson, & sister; Sally Boyd. Survivors include daughters; Denise (Joey Fowler) Higdon of Crab Orchard, Pamela (Earl Black) Shannon of Paint Lick, brothers; Clarence (Dorothy) Johnson, & Bobby (Patricia) Johnson of Garrard County, Edmund (Doris) Johnson of Indiana, Elmer (Wanda) Johnson, & Jay (Virgie) Johnson of Boyle County, & Charles (Joyce) Johnson of Ohio, sisters; Margaret Sutton of Lancaster, Katherine (Marvin) Holt, & Martha (Alvin) Lee of Boyle County, grandchildren; Marsha & Randall Lainhart, Kimberly Halcomb, Niki Higdon, & great-grandchildren; Natalie Lainhart, & Bentley Edwards. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home and burial following at Goshen Cemetery in Lincoln County. Pallbearers will be Randall Lainhart, Dwight & Gary Coffman, Bobby Dale Johnson, Nathan Hicks, & Branson Pruett. Honorary Pallbearers include, Clarence, Edmund, Elmer, Charles, Jay, & Bobby Johnson.
