Carolyn Jean Walker Howard Jones, 71, of Gilberts Creek Rd, passed away Sunday, August 6. 2017 in her home surrounded by loved ones. Born Monday, July 8, 1946 in Morganfield, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Walker and Sarah Elizabeth Hill Walker. She was a retired CNA and member of the Antioch Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Luther Wayne Howard and Arvil "Plow" Jones, and a sister, Sandra Elliott. Survivors include her daughters, Tonya Austin of Lancaster, Marla Howard of Lawrenceburg, and Stephanie (Jeremy) Smart of Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Robert Walker of Lancaster; and one sister, Beverly Travillian of Lancaster with six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one on the way. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Jerry Browning with burial following in the Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Austin, Matthew East, Garrett Bryant, Jeffrey Barr, Ricky Walker, Jeremy Smart, and Corey Roppel. Honorary pallbearers will be Melody Roppel, Beth Shearer, Kristie Ray, and Lila Smart. Visitation will be 6-8 Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the funeral home.
