Obituary

Charles B. Denton, 69 of Lancaster, husband of Connie Bryant Denton, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at his home. Born on June 17, 1956, in Somerset, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Herbert Lloyd & Della Coffey Denton. Charles was a former employee for Gulf States Paper & Rock Tenn for 45 years. Charles lived a life marked by love, resilience, and deep devotion to both his family and his faith. He was known for his gentle presence, his willingness to help anyone in need, and the strong, quiet faith in God that guided him throughout his life. He was a member of Maple Ave. Church of Christ, in Lancaster. Charles enjoyed riding motorcycles, listening to music, and spending time in his Man Cave. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Debbie Dailey Denton; brother, Murrell Denton, and sisters, Jean Church, Gayle Wilson, and Connie Baker. Charles's strong faith in God was the foundation of his life. He carried that faith with him through every joy and every hardship, offering comfort, strength and guidance to those around him. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now at peace and reunited with loved ones who went before him.

Survivors other than his wife Connie include his sons, Charles B. (Janie) Denton, Gregory Scott Denton both of Lancaster, Jonathan Douglas (Jennifer Murrell) Denton of  Berea; daughter, Brandi Jean Turner of Lancaster; sisters, Charlotte Miller of Somerset, Mary Lou Caudill of Burnside; twenty seven grandchildren, Zachary (Ashley) Denton, Johnny (Nikita) Denton, Lillian (Noah) Williams, Alyssa Denton, Christopher Denton, Nicholas Denton, Lily Denton, Kinley Denton, Lucas Denton, Adam Denton, Caitlin Denton, Lacy Denton, James Denton, Kim Denton, Audrey Hudson, D.J. Denton, Easton Denton, Amber (Michael) Renninger, Lauren Denton, Chloe Denton, Ashton (Carlos) Guerrero, Alea (Tanner) Carroll, Brayson Padgett, Jaxton Kyle, Allison Denton, Slater Denton, and Benjamin Denton, as well as six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11:00AM until service time at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Mr. Isaac Hall officiating, and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Easton Denton, Zachary Denton, Johnny Denton, James Denton, Ben Denton, Slater Denton, Brayson Padgett, and Dustin Goins

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Charles' memory may go to the Maple Ave. Church of Christ.
