Charles "Buddy" G. Young, 79, of Nicholasville, passed away  Sunday, August 27, 2023 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Born on Saturday, March 04, 1944 in Stanford, he was a son of the late Charlie E. & Della Pearl Reed Young. Buddy was a former shipping supervisor for Wabco, as well as a former employee for Gray Construction. He was also a commercial and residential painter, who enjoyed bowling, baseball, fishing and gardening. He loved to play golf, and was a devout member of Highland Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Rev. Donald Keith Scilley & one niece, Lisa Ann Scilley.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Frankie Taylor Young; son, Scott (Peggy) Young, of Stanford; step-son, Travis Lane (Elsa) Blake, of Williamstown; daughters, Tammy (Ricky) King, of Geneva, Jourdan (Zachary) Frankenburger, of Lancaster; sister, Doris Ann (the late Rev. Donald Keith) Scilley, of Lexington; grandchildren, Kelci, Cameron, Gregory, Chad, Keith, Leanna, Eric, Levi, Harper, Jack, Gracie & Trent;15 great-grandchildren; niece, Dawn Denise (Scot) Cheetham; nephew, Daniel (Kieth) (Michelle) Scilley; aunt, Annie Louise (Billy Bob) Barker.

Funeral services will be 6:00PM Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Highland Methodist Church (9731 KY HWY 1247 Waynesburg, KY 40489) with Bro. Johnny Thompson officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until service time on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the church.
