Charles Rose, 86 of Lancaster, passed away Monday, December 04, 2017 at his home. Born Friday, July 03, 1931 in Taylor County, he was the son of the late W.D. & Mammie Colvin Rose. Charles was a United States Army veteran, & served during the Korean War Era. He was also a former produce manager for A&P, & Winn-Dixie grocery stores, & a member of Hyattsville Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Wall. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley Rose, along with several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 07, 2017 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Durham officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Barry Simpson, Hunter Simpson, Lucas Simpson, Steve Lane, Randy Carrier, & Gary Simpson. Honorary pallbearers include Glenn Watkins, David White, & Gatewood Phillips.
