Chester "Buddy" Broughton, Jr., 71, of Harmons Lick Rd., passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at his home. Born Sunday, March 24, 1946 in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Chester Broughton Sr., & Ruth Currens Broughton. He was a farmer & a member of Harmons Lick Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son; Brian Keith Broughton. Survivors include daughter; Sherri Lynn (Donald) Baldock, of Casey County, brother; Stanley (Brenda) Broughton of Lancaster, sisters; Delores Kersey of Lancaster, Judy (Earl) Tankersley, of Reading, Ohio, grandson, Keith Broughton, of Stanford, & the mother of his children; Thelma Jean Broughton, of Garrard County. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, April 28, 2017 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating with burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Tankersley, Eric Kersey, Scott Broughton, Kevin Broughton, John Henderson, Matthew Broughton, & Chris Tankersley. Honorary pallbearers include Danny Day, Wayne Day, Wayne Art, Rusty Hall, Dallas Helton, Douglas Helton, Allen Day, & his hunting friend Earl Norton.
