Chester Wayne Turner, 73, of Garrard County, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at his home. Born Wednesday, February 26, 1947 in Cartersville, he was a son of the late Chester Edward & Hallie Nadine Allen Turner. Chester Wayne was an entrepreneur and ran his own flea market. He enjoyed antiquing, fishing and frog gigging. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Brummett Turner. Survivors include daughters; Delaine Preston, of Perryville, Nancy (Scott) Rhoades, of Junction City, step-daughters; Reba Turner & Carol Turner; stepsons, Michael Turner & Marvin Turner; brothers, Earl (Mildred) Turner, of Berea, Dexter (Daphne) Turner, of Cartersville; sisters, Evelyn (Lewis) Abbott, of Cartersville, Paula Logan, of Berea; 5 grandchildren, Andy Young, Whitney Rhoades, Donovon Rhoades, Tori Robbins, D.J. Lirette, as well as 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro's. Chris Taylor & Thurman Pearson officiating and burial following at Cartersville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Rhoades, Andy Young, Donovon Rhoades, D.J. Lirette, Austin Teabo & Tristan Turner. Honorary pallbearers include Tommy Ward. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until service time on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.
