Doris Mae Hornsby, 60, of Myers Court in Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at her residence. Born April 4, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Raymon William & Fannie Brock Hopkins. She was a homemaker and attended Redemption Road Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers: Ernest, Johnnie & Raymon Hopkins, Jr.; and two sisters: Phyllis Jean Hopkins & Fannie Sue Hopkins. Her survivors include a sister: Barbara (Elmer Bishop) Hatfield; two brothers: Bradley (Donna) Hopkins; Larry (Carolyn) Hopkins, all of Lancaster, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Tom King with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ben Carter, Wendell Hatfield, Bradley Hopkins, Jr., Sherry Carter, Wanda Shelton, Jamie Hornsby, Mickey Hopkins & Ernest Jason Hopkins, with nieces and nephews serving as honorary bearers. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Monday December 26, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may go to the G.L.A.D.
