Dorothy Thompson Cannady , age 90, gained her wings on Thursday, February 21, 2019, of Silver Spring, MD. Born July 11, 1928 in Lexington she was a daughter of the late Emma Price Thompson and David Willard Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Mae Thompson Brown. Dorothy grew up in Harrodsburg and graduated from Rose Hill School in Harrodsburg. She is survived by her sons, David and Gary, her brothers Don Thompson (Linda Hagains), Jeff Thompson (Mary Spath), Leroy Thompson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery.
