Dorothy Davis May, 99, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Laurel Heights Nursing Homein London, Kentucky. Born July 6, 1918 in Bell County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late William McKinley & Anna May Peace Davis. She was a former nurses aide and a member of Corinth Baptist Church in London. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Garnett May, a brother, Charles Ray Davis, a sister, Blanche Davis, and a great-granddaughter, Ashley Broaddus. Her survivors include two daughters, Phyllis May (Walter "Tee") Hulett of London and Sharon May Broaddus of Lancaster, four grandchildren, Wheeler Hulett of London, Elroy Hulett of Lancaster, Roni Roberts of Lancaster and Garnett Michelle Martin of Lancaster, nine great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Mr. Walter Wheeler Hulett, Mr. Elroy Hulett and Dr. Andrew Dyer, with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ryan Hulett, Kyle Mink, Tim Bales, Randy Davis, Wheeler Hulett and Elroy Hulett. Honorary pallbearer is Tyler Broaddus. Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers , contributions may go to Gideons International.
