Dorothy Jean Boyd Johnson, 83, of Lancaster, widow of Clarence Johnson, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at her home, surrounded by loved ones. Born on Friday, March 11, 1936 in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Kinnaird Boyd & Irene Harris Young Boyd. Dorothy was a farmer, a homemaker & a member of Broadway Baptist Church in Lexington. In addition her husband & parents, she was preceded in death by siblings; James Boyd, Sr., Daniel Boyd, Louise Tutterow, Beulah Foster, Allene Sargent & one granddaughter, Emilee Bowman. Survivors include her children; Allen Douglas (Laura) Johnson, Jackie Lynn (Teresa) Johnson, Debra Ann Rhineheimer, all of Nicholasville, Ronnie Dale Johnson, of Stanford, Gary Dean Johnson, Steven Johnson, both of Lancaster, Lisa Gayle Bowman, of Harrodsburg, siblings; Kinnaird Boyd, of Stanford, Wesley Boyd, Wayne Boyd & Harold Boyd, all of Danville, twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren & six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on 1:00 PM Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Pastor Jacky Johnson & Pastor Judy Wilson officiating with burial following at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens in Nicholasville. Pallbearers will be Johnny Davis, Mark Reed, Dustin Johnson, Timothy Johnson, Zachary Johnson & Bobby Dale Johnson. Honorary pallbearers include Jessica Bowman & Haylee Grace Bowman.
