Dorothy Mae Kinnaird, 91, of Garrard County, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 in Berea at the Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born August 10, 1926 in Garrard County, Dorothy was a daughter of the late William Turner & Luvenia Stinnett Sparks. She was a retired employee of Parker Seal in Berea, a devoted member of Harmon's Lick Church of God, who regularly enjoyed writing poetry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin earlier this year, a son, Dallas Kinnaird, four brothers, Melba, Ernest, Carl & Roy Sparks, and three sisters, Frances & Addie Marie Kinnaird & Lucille Simpson. She is survived by one brother, Clifton Sparks, of Berea, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 13, 2017 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Vernon Willard, with burial following in Paint Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jerry, Cecil, Russell & Larry Sparks, Wesley Simpson, & Phillip Kinnaird. Honorary bearers will be Wanda Helton, Jimmy & Jamie McQueen, Joe & Mary Mast, Judy Wilmot, Shelby & Sherman Sparks, as well as the nurses and staff of Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation.
