Edward A. Barker, 62, of Lancaster, husband of Cindy Reed Barker, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born on Saturday, August 5, 1961 in Estill County, he was the son of Carlie Palmer Barker & the late Elzie "Eugene" Barker. Ed was a retired HVAC Technician & was a former volunteer for the Lancaster Fire Department and Disaster Emergency Services. He enjoyed HAM radio operations & R.C. model airplanes.

Survivors other than his wife Cindy & mother Carlie include a daughter, Susan Burkhart, of Lancaster; mother-in-law, Billie J. Davis, of Lancaster; grandchildren, Kayleigh Burkhart (Brandon) Shankle & Blake Flannery.

Private family services will be officiated by Bro. Daryl Hodge and burial will follow at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Kevin Brickey, Blake Flannery, David Stidham, Larry Huffman, Ron Flannery, Steve Hall  & David Land.
