Eleanor Ralston Moots, 87, of Dogwood Drive in Lancaster, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky. Born January 8, 1927 in Paint Lick, Kentucky, Eleanor was a daughter of the late Thomas Edward and Burdetta Ramsey Ralston. She was a former teacher at The Buckeye School, and also taught in Florida and Ohio. Eleanor was a Deacon for the Old Paint Lick Presbyterian Church, a Sunday school teacher, was a member of the Paint Lick Cemetery Board and a member of the D.A.R. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Moots, a brother, Harvey Ralston, and a sister, Billie Jo Ralston Demaree. Her survivors include nephews; Jimmy Demaree, of Lancaster, Tommy Ralston, of Ohio, Nelson Ralston of Ohio, a neice; Sharon (Gary) Clark, of Paint Lick, great nieces; Kimberly (Matthew) Clark Day, Kathy Clark, Heather Demaree, great nephew; Jimmy Demaree and great-great nieces; Cameron Parker and Sydney Demaree. Services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the Paint Lick Presbyterian Church by Rev. Richard Guerrant and Rev. Bryce McGowan. Burial will follow in Paint Lick Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Barnes, Ronnie Ledford, Bryan Bolton, George Ralph Arnold, Bob Moyer, Charlie Gruen, and Rusty Clark. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Clark, Don Richardson, Dickie Arnold, Steve Green, Bob Noe, Bill Hendren, and Nancy Clark. Visitations will be 5:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at Ramsey Funeral Home, and 1:00-3:00 PM Wednesday, at Paint Lick Presbyterian Church. Contributions may go to Paint Lick Presbyterian Church.
