Ellen Delena Hale, 99, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Thursday, June 24, 1920 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Elmer & Ida Sowder Hale. Ellen was a homemaker and a member of Hyattsville Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Floyd Hale, Wesley F. Hale, Ronnie B. Hale, Coy B. Hale; sister, Nora Gordon; nephews, Ricky Hale, David Hale, Donnie Hale, Lloyd Oakes, Jr. & one niece, Deborah Shipley. Survivors include a brother, Hershell L. (Della) Hale; sisters, Nola M. Kirkpatrick & Clara Jean Oakes; seven nephews, Jeff Oakes, Jody Kirkpatrick, Steve Kirkpatrick, Mike Kirkpatrick, Wayne Hale, Bill Hale & Doug Hale; nieces, Susan Hale, Jackie Berrill, Kim Mackin, Brenda Turnbull & Dozy Hale. A private funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 02, 2020 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Browning officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery.
