Elza Ray Phillips, 64, of Paint Lick, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 at his residence. Born May 30, 1954 in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Jim & Anna Lee Phillips. He had been a farmer and a mechanic all his life. He is survived by a son, Donnie (Jeanna) Phillips of Berea, two daughters, Tonya Nicole Phillips & Stephanie Ann Hounshell, both of Florida. Three brothers, Johnny Phillips of Berea, Gary Wayne Phillips of Lexington, Jimmy Phillips of Berea, and a sister, Marie Anderson of Rockcastle County. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Cassandra & Catherine Hounshell, Kaitlyn & Cody Hurt, Brian , Brandon & Ashley Roberts and 4 great grandchildren, Colton Hurt, Sophie & Raidyn Singleton and Autumn Foley . He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Phillips and three sisters, Claire Phillips, Janice Harold, and Jo Ann Seals. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Harmon's Lick Holiness Church by Bro. Vester Alexander. Visitation will be from 5-9 pm Monday, July 23rd at the church. Burial will take place in Rimmel Cemetery in Rockcastle County. Pallbearers will be Shannon Phillips, Wayne Saylor, Ronnie Saylor, Josh Cain, Jackie Harold, Billy Anderson & Daryl Phillips.
