Emilee Alyse Bowman, age 18, of Hillcourt in Lancaster, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 in Washington County as a result of an auto accident. She was born Thursday, February 12, 1998 in Lexington to Robert Bowman of Lancaster & Lisa G. Johnson Bowman of Mackville. Emilee was a graduate of Garrard County High School and was currently attending B.C.T.C. as well as an employee of the Bluebird Café in Stanford. Emilee had a passion for nature , gardening, the culinary arts, poetry and art. In addition to her parents, Robert & Lisa, she is survived by two sisters: Jessica Lee-Ann Bowman & Haylee Grace Bowman, both of Lancaster; her maternal grandparents: Clarence & Dorothy Johnson of Lancaster; paternal grandparents: Darrell & Carolyn Bowman of Richmond; as well as numerous aunts, uncles & cousins. Emilee's request for cremation rites have been honored and there will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate her life on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home from 5-7 PM. In addition to the gathering at the funeral home on Tuesday, there will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony, a balloon release and the planting of Emilee's Memorial Tree, as she requested, on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 3:00 PM on the Johnson Family farm located 8.9 miles out Highway 39 in the Buckeye community of Garrard County.
