Floyd Michael Dotson "Mike", 57 of Lancaster, passed away January 01, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, after a two year and two month battle with cancer. Born Sunday, May 06, 1962 at Appalachian Regional Healthcare in South Williamson, Kentucky. Mike was the son of Floyd Dotson, & the late Edna Fae Justice Dotson. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Dean Lyons. Mike owned & operated Camp Dick Food Mart/BP for sixteen years before leasing the business out. Mike had a passion for the outdoors, especially hunting. He was blessed to hunt in Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Colorado & Canada. He was a strong Republican. He was a family man who cherished & loved his family & God. In addition to his father, survivors include his two children from Lancaster, Malisha Dotson (Keith) Ashcraft, from his first marriage to Eleshia Davis Rutherford; a son, Brandon Michael Dotson, from his second marriage to Rhonda Justice Dotson, a grandson, Hunter Davis Ashcraft, of Lancaster, three brothers ; William Keith Dotson, of Lancaster, Larry Todd Dotson, of Turkey Creek, Kentucky & John Kevin (Vanessa) Dotson, of Belfrey, one sister, Deborah Lyons, of Kimper, Kentucky, as well as his girlfriend, Regina Royse, & a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM Saturday, January 04, 2020 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home in Belfrey, Kentucky, at a later date. Pallbearers include Brian Keith Dotson, T.J. Dotson, Jonathan Dotson, Austin Dotson, Keith Ashcraft, & Mark Edwards.
