Freda Mae Pendleton, 90, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 at Ephraim McDowell-Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. Born on Thursday, December 7, 1933 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Robert & Helen Coffey Moore. Freda was a member of the Red Hat Society, and attended Lancaster Church of the Nazarene. She was a beautician, and owned several other businesses over the years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Pendleton; sisters, Ada Jordan and Betty Montgomery, and a great-nephew, Grant Oakley.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, as well as her great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Barrick officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Paul Purcell, James Bushnell, Alex Montgomery, Rob Montgomery, Pam Oakley & Lora Montgomery. Honorary pallbearers include Alan Jacobson, Michael Jacobson, Holton & Nancy Howard, Mike Oakley, Becky Guerrein, Tim Cook, Richard Cook, Mona Moberly, Misty Shelton, Lloyd Sebastian, Sherrie Fitzpatrick and the ladies of the Red Hat Society. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until service time on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the funeral home.
