Ed Freeman "Bud" Adams, 79, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Tuesday, September 22, 1936 in Casey County, he was a son of the late William Noel & Mattie Sims Adams. He was a former employee of IBM in quality control, was in the Kentucky Beef Cattle Association, a member of AARP, the Republican party, and Pond Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Giovanna Watkins Adams, brothers; Raymond, Floyd, & Lloyd & Frank Adams. Survivors include his wife Jean Price Adams, sons; Kendall (Sheila), & Barry (Linda ) Adams, all of Lancaster, Dwayne (Sheila) Adams of Charlotte, North Carolina, step son; Rodney (Tina) Murphy of Lancaster, step-daughters; Danita Messer of Waynesburg, & Yvette Padgett of Lancaster, sisters; Tootsie Gooch, Freda Phillippe, & Fama Patterson all of Kings Mtn., grandchildren; Jennifer, Beth, Kevin, & Steven Adams, great-grandchild; Braylon Tudor, thirteen step-grandchildren & fifteen step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Monday, April 18, 2016 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Bowling officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jared Ayres, Richard Payne, Pete Dykal, John Wilson, Delbert Eason & Grant Hardwick. Visitation will be 5-8:00PM Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.
