Geneva Ellen Brickey, 97, of Lancaster passed away Friday, November 2, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. Born Saturday, November 6, 1920 in Wayne County, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Bryant and Margaret Burton Bryant. She worked for Palm Beach for many years and was a member of the Lancaster Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, William "Toad" Virgil Brickey, a son; William Erwin Brickey, four brothers; Marshall Bryant, Tommy Bryant, Farris Bryant, and Clarence Bryant, five sisters; Roberta Jackson, Minnie Bryant, Elizabeth Chambers, Josephine Hurt, Elsie Akers, an infant son, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Survivors include three sons; Virgil Dean Brickey, Goable (Barbara) Brickey, and Alvin F. Brickey, seven daughters; Carol Wine, Roberta (Barry) Adams, Vyone (Brad) Lewis, Patricia(Bobby) Johnson, Geneva (Harold) Boyd, Margaret Ann Whitson, and Wanda (David) Anderson a sister; Alma Robinson, thirty two grandchildren, sixty great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held 5:00 PM-8:00 PM Sunday, November 4,2018 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 5,2018 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. David Young and Rev. Dwayne Lobb officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Kevin Brickey, Gary Coffman, Dwight Coffman, Bobby Johnson, Jeff Turner, Dwayne Boyd, Richard Harrison, and Josh Adams.
