George Parker Bandy, 82, of Herron Dr. in Lancaster, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at his residence. Born, April 27, 1933 in Boyle County, he was a son of the late Luther & Mabel Raney Bandy. He had been an Assistant Plant Manager at Palm Beach Company, a member of Lancaster Baptist Church and a Ky,. Colonel. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold. His survivors include his wife of 62 years, Geneva Sowders Bandy, two daughters; Lisa (Mike) Wade of Lancaster, Debbie (Robert) Bryant of Bedford, Tx. a brother; Gerald Bandy of Northern, Ky., sister; Betty Jane Coontz of Danville, two grandchildren; Kara & Micah Wade and two great grandchildren; Brycen & Braylei Wade. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Dr. Harold Best, with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery.
