George "Rusty" Brown, 69 of Garrard County, husband of Pam Murphy Brown, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019. Born on Thursday, December 22, 1949 in Garrard County, he was the son of Georgetta Bogie Brown of Stanford & the late Harold Russell Brown. Rusty was a United States Marine Corps veteran during the Vietnam War Era, a truck driver for Ryder Trucking & was a member of the Vintage Iron car club. Survivors other than his wife & mother include an "adopted" son, Braxton Allen of Lancaster; sister, Janet (Rodney) Dean of Stanford; mother-in-law, Florence Murphy of Lancaster; brother-in-law, Jerry (Janet) Murphy of Richmond; nieces & nephews, Joseph, Kristen, Jeri, Jodi & Brad. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Estes officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM Monday, June 24, 2019 at the funeral home. Rusty's wishes for cremation will be honored after services.
