George Wayne Carrier, 68, of Gillespie Pike, Lancaster, Kentucky, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017, at his home. He was the son of Otis Carrier and Ethel Hall Carrier and was born September 28, 1948, Danville, Kentucky. George was a carpenter and stone mason and also served in the US Armed Forces for the Army. Survivors include his daughter, Kim (Mark) Coleman, LaGrange, Kentucky, brothers, Phillip Carrier and Bobby Carrier, of Lancaster, Kentucky, and sister, Faye Carrier Frost, of Williamsburg, Kentucky , and three grandchildren, Alex Coleman, Jack Coleman, and Nick Coleman. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Donald Carrier and Shelby Carrier. Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Ricky Horn, with burial following at Camp Nelson at 1:30 PM and military rites by Caswell Saufley Post #18. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon prior to service.
