George T. Dailey, 88, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 at his home. Born Tuesday, April 26, 1932 in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Dewey & Beatrice Casey Dailey. George was a former sales manager for Hesco Parts and enjoyed farming and gardening. He was a member of Gilbert's Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Pingleton Dailey; son, Mark Dailey; brothers, Lloyd Dailey & Glenmore Dailey, & a grandson, Sean Dailey. Survivors include a son, Paul (Susan) Dailey, of Albany; daughter, Georgia (Rick) Long, of Danville; brother, Ernest (Jimmy) Dailey, of Lancaster; sister, Caroline Durham, of Lancaster; daughter-in-law, Bonita Dailey, of Pikeville; grandchildren, Shannon Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Dawson Dailey, Beth Hewett, Erin Settles, John Morgan; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Settles, Seanna Settles & Cameron Settles . Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home, with Rev. Stephen Brogli officiating & burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ralph Feldman, Mike Feldman, Jerry Feldman, Dawson Dailey, Jason Settles & Bobby Durham. Honorary pallbearers include the staff & caregivers at The Willows of Harrodsburg & Accessible Home Care. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at the funeral home. In accordance with the health mandate from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, all visitors will be required to wear face coverings and exhibit proper social distancing practices.
