Gerald W. Adkinson, 81, of Berea, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born March 28, 1939 in Madison County, he was a son of the late Eugene & Susan Champ Adkinson. Gerald was a former Systems Analyst at IBM & was a United States Navy veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Stanye Frohmer; brother, Alvah Adkinson; sisters, Corrine Adkinson, Bobby Jean Leedy, Delores Amann & one grandchild, Drew Casares. Survivors include daughters, Carla (Randy) Suciu, of Stanford, Amy (Jay) Williams & Sandra Adkinson, both of Lexington, Jennifer Doser, of Versailles; sister, Dorothy (John) Owens, of Harrison, Ohio; grandchildren, Alex Williams, SGT Sloane Suciu-Mauller, Tyler Suciu, Kaitie Williams, Madi Casselman, Tyschen Williams, Sami Doser; great-grandchildren, Zoey Troy, Killian Casselman & the mother of his children, Rita Spivey. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Susie. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, January 04, 2020 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
