Geraldine Hurt, 74, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at her residence. Born October 7, 1941 in Hyden, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Henry & Ada Day Caudill. She was a retired employee of Garrard County High School where she had worked for many years in the cafeteria. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband , Tom Hurt, Sr. Her survivors include a son: Tommy (Diana) Hurt, Jr. of Manchester; three daughters: Ada (Phillip Estep) Harrison , Dawn Hurt , & Julie Walston, all of Lancaster; one brother: Felix Caudill of Bremen, Ky.; four sisters: Polly Crowley of Hanson, Ky. ; Josephine Fields, Jeanie Kittinger, & Etta Caudill all of Bremen, Ky.; four grandchildren: Darlene Harrison, Wesley & Andrew Collins and Cameron Estep; as well as 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, September 30, 2016 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Bro. Danny Day, with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery.
