Gladys Carrier, 90 of Lancaster, widow of Leonard Gordon Carrier, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at Baptist Health of Lexington. Born January 28, 1928 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Elmer & Lucy Lawson Goins. She was a member of Lancaster Baptist Church, where she was active in the "Joy Club". In addition to her late husband & her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest, Cecil, J.W., & Jack Goins, & a sister, Lucy "Jenny" Prewitt. Survivors include daughter, Peggy Foley, of Lancaster; sister, Brenda (Charles Russell) Masters, of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Brian Foley, Jamie (Scott) Powell; six great-grandchildren, Aidan, Gavin, & Kate Ann Foley, Hannah, Maggie, & Eli Powell. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 01, 2018 at Ramsey-young Funeral Home with Dr. Harold Best officiating & burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne & Jerry Goins, Aidan & Gavin Foley, Charles Russell Masters, Roy Gibson, & Bill Schwab. Honorary pallbearers include the Velma Lucas Sunday School Class.
