Glenda Ann Guy Hester, 78, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, at her home. Born on November 4, 1945, to the late Billy T. & Peggy Jean Israel Guy in Henderson County, NC. Glenda was a hairdresser for Martha's Beauty Shop in Lancaster for 38 years. She was also a member of Gilberts Creek Baptist Church.

Aside from her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by a son, the late Mark William Anderson; and a daughter, the late Jeanea Bolt. Survivors include a son, Anthony Wayne Anderson, of Clinton, SC; brothers, William Thomas (Betty Jane) Guy, of Bryant Pond, Maine & Douglas (Pamela Kay) Guy, of Fletcher, NC; grandchildren, Beth Tuttle, Lucas Bolt, & Josh Anderson; a great-grandchild, Chloe Tuttle; and Annie Tilley, who was her best friend and caregiver.

Glenda's wishes for cremation have been honored at this time. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Gilbert's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Browning officiating. Honorary pallbearers include Donna Arnold, Judy Adams, Peggy Derringer, Lisa Sebastian, Judy Ingles, and Georgia Preston.
