Harold B. "Sonny" Lester, 59, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Monday, March 02, 1964 in Danville, he was a son of the late Harold B., Sr. & Judith Sears Lester. Sonny never met a stranger. He was a man of many words, an avid storyteller, and was always there for anyone that needed a friend. Sonny was a United States Army veteran, serving 23 years as Military Police. He was a hard worker, and was an employee at Hitachi for 19 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Lester.

Survivors include his sons, Cody (Candy) Lester & Micah Lester, both of Lancaster; daughter, Andrea Lester, of Texas; brother, Jason (Cristy) Lester, of McKinney, and 9 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 28, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Withers officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Kevin Steele, Denny Ray, Robert North, Jamie Lear, Ron Pope & Jeff Rich. Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Miller & Glen Lear.
