Hazel Jemima Goins, 91, of Davis Avenue in Lancaster, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at her residence. Born June 1, 1925 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Taylor & Irene Preston Bolton. She had been a homemaker and babysitter , and was the oldest member of Lancaster Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: J.P. Goins; three brothers: Gilbert , Ray & Roy Bolton; and two sisters: Mary Turner & Ina Pelham. Her survivors include a sister, Flonnie Whittaker of Lancaster and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Lancaster Church of the Nazarene by Bro. Leon Thomas and Bro. Henderson Goins, with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Sowder, Tony Self, Steven Self, Michael Self, Freeman Wylie, Jerry Bolton, Jesse Wagner & Billy Goins. Honorary pallbearers will be Donna McQuerry, Norm & Janet Smith and the great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home and from 10:00 AM until service time Monday at the church.
