Helen Cosby Denny, 90, of Buckeye Road, Lancaster, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born May 7, 1924, in Madison County, she was a daughter of the late Rev. E.C. and Florence Lowery Cosby. She was retired from American Greetings and a member of New Antioch Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers William "Pet" Cosby and Lloyd Cosby and sisters, Ena Norrid and Annetta Broaddus. Her survivors include a son, Billy C. Metcalfe of Frankfort, Indiana; a daughter, Geraldine Elam, of Lancaster; sisters, Burdetta Brown of Lancaster and Etta Taylor of Richmond; four grandchildren, Tammie (Chuck) McMullen, David (Karen) Amon, Bobby Amon, and Samantha Metcalfe; five great-grandchildren, Hannah McMullen, Matthew McMullen, Cruz Amon, Raelyn Amon and Lee Amon; and one great-great-grandchild, Kenley Sage. Private graveside services will be held by Rev. Kaywood Morris in Richmond Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Risk, Cruz Amon, Matt McMullen, Chuck McMullen, David Amon and Bobby Amon.
