Helen Goins, 90 of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, January 09, 2018 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Wednesday, May 04, 1927 in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late William & Lucy Isaacs Shearer. She was a homemaker, & a member of Lancaster Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Dick" Goins; sons Larry, Bobby, & Gene Goins, & two granddaughters, Lisa Carpenter, & Amanda Goins. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda (the late Bill) Carpenter, & Donna (Ricky) Burkhart, all of Lancaster; grandchildren, Tonya (Sam) Watkins, Billy (Tiffany) Carpenter, Tammy Burkhart, Angie (Scott) Cash, Erica (Adam) Bethel, Dustin (Jana) Goins, Robbie Goins, & Amy Goins; eight great-grandchildren, & one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the Lancaster Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. Leon Thomas officiating, & burial following at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM Monday, January 15, 2018 at the church, & 10:00 AM until service time Tuesday at the church.
