Helen Anderson Osborne, age 85 of Lancaster, passed away Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Christian Care Center after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She loved the Lord and her church, (Lancaster Church of the Nazarene) in which she was a member. She attended Buckeye School in Garrard County. She was employed by Cowden Manufacturing Company in Lancaster, and Palm Beach in Danville, for many years, as well, she was a wonderful homemaker. She is survived by two loving and devoted children and their spouses. A daughter, Elizabeth Carol (Jimmy) Ray; Lancaster; and a son, Billy (Paulette) Osborne; Lancaster. Two grandchildren; Cathy Jo (Bobby) Welch of Nicholasville and Chad (Jean) Osborne ; Lancaster. Three great grandchildren; Braydin & Bragdon Welch and Boone Osborne. A loving sister and brother in law, Edwina (Bobby) King of Lancaster as well as many loving nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Verna May Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Osborne. Parents; Joe & Hazel Anderson; two sisters; Virginia (Bob) Murray, and Lillie (Kenneth) Hume. Two brothers; Ralph (Wilma) Anderson and Raymond (Opal) Anderson. Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. Daryl Hodge & Rev. Butch Pennington officiating, with burial in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 2:30 PM Wednesday.Pallbearers will be Bobby Welch, Chad Osborne, Ronnie Sparks, Wayne Myers Hume, Eddie Coffey & Doug Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Christian Care Center staff & caretakers and Verna May Smith. Memorial contributions may go to the Christian Care Center.
