Hilda Merrell Naylor, 86, of Stanford, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023 in Danville. Born March 9, 1937 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Jasper Gid Dye & Pina Lou Clarkston Dye. Hilda was a homemaker , a member of Gilbert's Creek Baptist Church and had been attending Parlor Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Louis Merrell & James Naylor. Her survivors include a daughter, Deborah Faye (Charles) Manning of Eubank, five sons, Arnold Lewis (Sarah) Merrell of Stanford, Jackie Russell (Vicky) Merrell of Lancaster, Gary Randall Merrell of Hustonville, Jeffrey Darryl Merrell & Thomas Gid (Leisia) Merrell, both of Stanford, three sisters, Barbara Barron, Shirley Bingham & Linda Hall, all of Eubank, 20 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren & 7 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 18, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Mr. Robbie Barron, with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery.
