Hubert "Duck" Maggard, 59 of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, July 04, 2018 at Ephraim McDowell Regional medical Center. Born Sunday, December 28, 1958 in Letcher County, he was a son of the late Jesse Irvin, & Reva Shell Maggard. Duck enjoyed working on vehicles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bobby (Gina Lowery) Maggard, as well as five other siblings. Survivors include sons; Scott Baker of Lancaster, Brian Abner, of Madison County, daughters; Laura Maggard (Scott), Melodie (B.J.) Johnson, Jennifer Sears, all of Lancaster, Michelle Hall, & Jessie Rose Maggard, both of Madison County, brothers; George, Irvin, Mike "Smirkey", & John Maggard, sisters; Martha Maggard, & Genevieve (Jeff) Trent all of Lancaster, & twenty-one grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, July 09, 2018 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. George Maggard officiating, with burial following at Dix River Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jessie E. Maggard, Steven Maggard, Jeff Trent, Bill Cress, Jimmy Callahan, & B.J. Johnson. Honorary pallbearers include Hunter Devries, Lisa Wyatt, Fred Maggard, John Maggard, & all of his grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until service time on Monday, July 09, 2018 at the funeral home.
