James Burnam Cornelius, 57, of Harrodsburg, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. Jimmy was born August 29, 1959 in Madison County to the late Jay T.Cornelius & Bonnie Rose Cornelius of Lancaster. He was a truck driver and farmer and attended Hopewell Church in Harrodsburg. Survivors other than his mother include 2 sons; Tobby Cornelius of Harrodsburg & Ashley J. Cornelius of Wilmore, 2 brothers; Tommy (Pam) Cornelius of Lancaster & Bruce Ray (Juwanna) Cornelius of Nashville, Tn., a sister , Judy Ann (Darrell) Simpson of Lancaster and four grandchildren; Rachel Debra Goatley-Cornelius, Aubry Collins Cornelius, Ty Garrett Cornelius & Ashly Laythyn Tripp Cornelius. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 17, at the Lancaster Church of God by Rev. Patrick Roberts with burial in Pentecostal Fellowship Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Hacker, Eric & Jeremy Cornelius, William Hullett, Kevin Cross, Jacob Ison, Max Reecer & Clifton Getter.
